Be Careful While Choosing A Software To Write Codes

We are starting! I’ve already told you about the 6 main subject you have to know about for being successful in web design. The most important among these topics is coding. Because a website is based on codes. So, no codes, no website.

I tested lots of softwares because I’m designing websites since 1999. I couldn’t find what I was searching in most of them like with the women who got into my life. We, the male race, are very capable about associating everything with women :). Whatever…

In time, I have learned what kind of software I needed to redound the quality of my job, spare time and learn new things easier. Considering that you are here, either you are starting new to this or you wish to improve yourself. When not for woman, at least for web design, don’t treat yourself like a guinea pig, learn what kind of software you need to write codes.

First The Codes, Then The Women And Children

I’m sorry. The rules on this ship are a bit different but the codes are more important than anything for us. Because if you substract the photos and graphics from websites, only codes will remain. Websites without codes are like Britney Spears without sensation. So they won’t be different from an invalid, unnoiced, invisible, not listened thing.

You can actually write codes by using any text editor on your computer. But your job is now web design and you need the best tools in your bag for it. Your choice of software you are going to use for coding may change according to your budget and needs. But if you make wrong choices, you are going to loose time and money.

It Has To Be Simple

What is simple is also beautiful. That’s because it only does its job. You learn easily to use it. You are sure that it will work when you need it. You know what it can and can’t do. You don’t have to somersault with it to do something, you’ll spend time.

What do you need? To write codes. So you don’t need a software that can be integrated with graphic editors, uploads files to your website, holds hundreds of templates and code exemples in his memory. You are going to make the design, not the softwares.

To write codes, you just need a simple and clean interface. In that case, you can better focus on your job. You can easily learn new things, notice errors, make the necessary changes faster and finish your job at the expected time. Forget about the softwares that do everything. Just choose the one that works.

It Shouldn’t Exploit The System Resources

You don’t just write codes while designing a website. You also design the graphics you are going to use on the site, edit the photos. You test how your codes look on different internet browsers, upload the folders you prepared on your website. So you use at least 4 different softwares except the one you are using to write codes.

Technology is now cheaper. I’m sure the performance of your computer is not low. But all of the softwares I told you above are very excited to exploit your system resources. Don’t tire your computer for writing codes in addition. A software that is not loaded in your system, opens in a few seconds anytime you need it. He does his job and you do yours. You finish your job faster and earn time. Time is money. That’s how things work…

Adobe Dreamweaver Is not As Good As You Think It Is

Adobe Dreamweaver CS4

There are many softwares to help you writing codes. One of the most populars is Adobe Dreamweaver, it has many features to help you designing a website. Most people will probably advice this one.

But be careful! Softwares like Adobe Dreamweaver who have the auto-complete and WYSIWYG features just help you writing codes. This features make it very difficult to learn this job and customize your codes in accordance with different needs.

Any machine can get the quality and taste of something handmade. That’s why we choose restaurants and our mothers meals instead frozen food. And fashion designers who design customized clothes are still very beloved even if readymade clothes are very popular. So handmade things are very precious.

Besides, you are a new beginner. How will you notice your errors while your errors are automatically corrected? It’s sufficient to write the half of a code thanks to the auto-finish feauture, and how do you plan memorising the entire code?

Adobe Dreamweaver also exploits your system resources. Because it’s not a simple software. It houses hundreds of useless things in it. As your computer gets slower, your work get slower too.

What Is WYSIWYG?

It’s a computer term which is composed with the initials of “What You See Is What You Get”. It defines the environments where you can get a very alike print of what you see on the screen.

My Advice

You can easily work out thanks to its simple interface. It can be customized in accordance with all the programming languages, you can also adapt it to your own habits of use.

To Pay Money Or Not To Pay?

Of course nobody can force you in this subject. Most of the paid softwares on our planet have free alternatives. But most of these alternatives don’t have little features you need. Yes, you can live without them but the performance of your software will get lower. Don’t head for free softwares straightaway.

Why are you interested in web design? To earn money. So this is your job or your mark in the future. You can’t earn money without spending some. To pay for something useful is the most intelligent payment. Anyone who is after small counts, stays small.
